Activewear

This course emphasizes the needs of sportswear, unique elements, and special sewing technologies for this purpose.  It was a Collaboration with 'Delta Group'.

The requirement was to create a collection focusing on some kind of Female empowerment

My inspiration came from the Flamingo and the “Gulabi Gang”.

(Second Year Project)

The Gulabi is a group of indian woman activists who fight the regime for harassment and violence of men against women. They walk the streets in groups keen with pink bamboo sticks and wearing pink Sari. The flamingo also live in Groups, and earn their pink colour once their grown, independent and can feed themselves - their food is the source for its pink pigment. The pink colour is a symbol of strength and empowerment. The Flamingos received its name due to the colours of its feathers (Flames) which were the inspiration for my prints i created.

Do you have it in PINK ?
